International Advertising - Nike: Japan

Team Work

This project was completed over the spring semester with research and development taking up the majority of classwork and time. As a group, my classmates and I took great care to research trends in advertising for the people of another country, Japan. What we found, was an incredible culture whose values and desires were very different to western ideologies. This project is the summation of our collective research put into a report that turned out to be around fifty pages long. For the sake of my classmates and my viewers, I am only adding the excerpts that I completed for the this portion of the research project.

Final Plans-book

The final plans-book was a group effort of condensed research into a deliverable PowerPoint to be presented to our professor and peers. Together, we developed a storyboard, script and audio narration to accompany our presentation that was a summation of our collective research and creative design.

We divided the deliverable presentation into slide sections where we all developed particular slides while we all contributed to the narrations, storyboard, and final audio narration. The slides I developed and designed based on our group deliverable guidelines were "Campaign Platform" to "Media Strategy".

The group dynamic saw many different personalities which was not easy to navigate at first, as we did not previously know one another. However, the group held each other accountable for their work and filled in the missing pieces when another member was having a difficult time delivering results. Over all, this campaign taught me to further respect and attempt to understand others before drawing assumptive conclusions.
